So recently I've been feeling a bit anxious and stressed out, and all together just fed up with people's shit. I live in a small area where everybody knows each other, which means everybody knows each other's business. And the people in this area are so unbelievably toxic. SO, I decided to treat myself because I sat and thought to myself, I bloody deserve it! I grabbed the computer and went straight to Zara, House of Fraser, Beauty Bay and Feelunique and spent a bit (a lot) of money on myself. And you know what? It felt fucking good.

I, for one, am not the only person in the blogging world who happens to compare herself to pretty much 95% of the blogging community: It goes without saying that we all compare ourselves to someone or something in one way or another. We scroll through Tumblr and Instagram admiring the lives of celebrities and bloggers who appear to have the most perfect lives, sunning it up on golden beaches in Thailand, strutting down the streets of London with their Givenchy handbags in a pair of Valentinos, and looking as glamorous as ever, what appears to be, 24/7. Even on a daily basis, we compare our grades to others, and our work ethic to other colleagues.

January is the time where everybody sits down and comes up with a never-ending list of New Year's Resolutions in a bid to become happier, healthier, and a better person. But, with hindsight, shouldn't we come up with that 'list' when we feel it's necessary, and not just to mark a new beginning? If you have something you feel you need to change about yourself, whether thats your image or your attitude, don't wait till the 1st of January to do that. Change whenever you feel is necessary, whether that's the beginning of the year, or the middle.

I've been wearing make up since I was 13, but only over the last couple of years have I learned to apply my make up properly. I'm 18 now and I believe that I can actually do my make up way better than I could a few years ago, so I thought I'd give my 13 year old self some make up tips.
